    WILLIAMSON RIVER

    OREGON

The Williamson flows through Chiloquin Oregon and is considered one of the finest trophy trout rivers in the West. We have a variety of techniques, using dry flies, streamers and nymphs to bring these monsters to the net! Flyfishing Oregon for the Klamath Basin Redband Trout. Opportunities are good through the entire season and peak hatches can certainly increase the excitement.

We fish here! We live here --- right on the banks of the Williamson River which is an awesome way to observe the subtle changes in this spring creek. The knowledge gained from this will only make your trip a better one.

  • WOOD RIVER

    WOOD RIVER

    OREGON

The Wood is a spring fed meandering meadow stream looping through the Upper Klamath Basin's fertile ranch land and leaving steep cut banks those brown trout just love. Hopper fishing can be excellent and, in the fall, the migratory Redband Trout move in from the lake. Streamer fishing is very effective for these big fish. It will be our pleasure to teach you the finer points of streamer fishing on this river..

  • UPPER KLAMATH LAKE

    UPPER KLAMATH LAKE

    OREGON

The Upper Klamath Lake is located east of the Cascade Range in south central Oregon and is the largest freshwater body in the state. The lake is fed by several rivers, including the Williamson, and is connected by a short channel to the smaller Agency Lake to the north. We have more than two decades of experience on these waters and our local knowledge is something in which we take great pride. We look forward to guiding you and your group to some of our favorite spots that have traditionally produced some hefty rewards!!

KLAMATH BASIN REDBAND TROUT

LARGE.WILD.HUNGRY.

FLYFISHING OREGON.

Outside of Alaska, Redband trout in the Klamath Basin are the largest-bodied species of native rainbow trout that remain in freshwater their entire lives. Klamath Basin was once filled with primeval Lake Modoc, which drained when its outlet cut a path to the Pacific Ocean via present day Klamath River. Populations of Redband trout in the Oregon Great Basin have been isolated for thousands of years. The Klamath Basin lakes are highly alkaline and this strain of Redbands have adapted to survive in conditions that would be lethal to most trout. Due to this adaptation, the present populations of the original Northern Great Basin Redband trout still exist today. Growth in the lakes is rapid due to the fertile environment and the trout may reach sizes of up to twenty pounds on a diet of forage fish and other aquatic fauna. Flyfishing Oregon for these large, wild fish is world class!
